Xbox and Compulsion Games unveil ‘Weaving Hazel’s Journey’ Documentary, delve into the making of South of Midnight.

Overnight, Xbox and Compulsion Games launched an in-depth look at their action-adventure title, South of Midnight, through a new documentary, Weaving Hazel’s Journey: A South of Midnight Documentary, now available on YouTube. The film offers viewers exclusive gameplay footage, a behind-the-scenes view of the game’s unique music and artistic inspiration, and insights into the development process.

In a rare inside look, Weaving Hazel’s Journey also introduces the creative forces and talent that brought the characters to life. The documentary spotlights the contributions of Ahmed Best, known for his roles in Star Wars and The Mandalorian, who served as Performance and Voice Director. ing him are Adriyan Rae, the actress embodying the protagonist Hazel, with credits in Chicago Fire and Atlanta, and Nona Parker Johnson, the motion capture and stunt actress for Hazel, noted for her work in Fear the Walking Dead.

To celebrate the release, Compulsion Games also announced a limited-edition South of Midnight box set in partnership with Dutch design house Cook & Becker. This collector’s package includes a 160-page art book, a two-LP vinyl featuring the full game soundtrack, a comic book by acclaimed artist Rob Guillory, artwork on metal, and a whimsical alligator-and-airboat magnet.
